The goal of the school is to introduce PhD students and young researchers to new directions in real algebraic geometry, with special emphasis on techniques ranging from algebraic geometry and topology to tropical geometry. The school will also provide an opportunity for early-career mathematicians to present their results and foster collaborations.

The program includes three mini-courses:

Erwan Brugallé — Real Enumerative Geometry
Kris Shaw — Tropical Geometry
Susanna Zimmermann — The Real Cremona Group

There will also be research seminars by:

Gianmarco Caldini — Homotopy with holes and minimal surfaces
Claudia Fevola — Tropical KP Theory on Banana Curves
Léo Mathis — A real probabilistic BKK theorem
Chiara Meroni — Effective polynomial approximation of starshaped sets

More details can be found on the school webpage.
